Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides) is a tall grass plant with strong, expansive roots that form a solid, intricate connection with the soil. The roots contain the botanical's similarly anchoring essential oil.

Aura Cacia Vetiver is primarily produced and processed in Haiti and Madagascar. It is produced in a sustainable manner, with the roots continually split and replanted. Sugarcane byproduct residues are burned to generate heat for the steam distillation process.
